Chaumtoli Huq founded Law@theMargins in 2013 and serves as its Editor-In-Chief. Huq is a social justice innovator with extensive experience in movement lawyering, litigation, public policy, management and creation of programs from emerging trends in law, teaching, assisting non-profits and individuals with strategic direction and governance issues mainly in areas of labor, human rights both in the United States and South Asia.

Eric Ortiz is the Executive Editor of Community Based News Room (CBNR). A journalist and innovator with two decades in digital media, Ortiz is the former managing editor of Truthdig, the founding editor of NESN.com and the founder of Evrybit, an all-in-one app for mobile storytelling. He is a champion for diversity in media and lives in Santa Monica, Calif.

Elbert Garcia is the Director of Social Media, Innovations and Community Engagement Technology at Law@theMargins. Born and raised in Washington Heights, Garcia has spent the the last two decades working in both traditional power-wielding institutions and alternative, community-based, power-building organizations across education, government and the media.

Morgan Moone serves as Law@theMargins’Associate Editor/Membership Development/Strategic Partnerships. She has dedicated her career studying the convergence of international relations, law and human rights, with the intent of understanding the compounding effects of institutionalized inequality and deprivation from a legal standpoint.  In 2017 she received a post-graduate Haywood Burns Fellowship from the National Lawyers Guild to work with Refugee Solidarity Network promoting rights-based responses to humanitarian crises.
